Best Luxury Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania!
Your journey begins the moment you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a Travencia Safaris friendly guide will be waiting to greet you. Enjoy a private transfer to Gran Melia Lodge, nestled at the foot of Mount Meru in Arusha. This peaceful, garden-style lodge offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere – the perfect place to unwind after your flight.

Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Drive from your hotel to Tarangire National Park after early breakfast. Tarangire National Park is known for its elephant’s herds of up to 300, migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland grazing and browsing in the dry river bed.
There is Silale swamp that attracts 550 varieties of birds, the most breeding species you’ll see in one habitat anywhere in the world! The park is also home of tree climbing pythons, as well as lions and leopards. After the adventure of the day you will head to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
This day starts with early breakfast at your hotel followed by a drive through Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park. Take a breath and enjoy the beautiful scenery rolling into the distance as far as your eyes can see. You will head in the central part of the park known as the Seronera circuit which is very rich in wildlife habitat, the place is featured by the Seronera River that provides Water for the Animals.
You will spot thousands upon thousands of animals in herds; wildebeests and zebras migrating together, tall and graceful giraffes, jumping antelopes and gazelles, the powerful African elephant and the most respected group of the predators. You might have the chance to spot lean cheetahs and shy leopards, foraging hyenas, and last but not least, the king himself; the lion.

Day 4: Full day Serengeti Game Drive
Early morning game drive in the Serengeti plains trying to capture what was missed on yesterday’s drive. Enjoy an unforgettable sunrise game drive across the Serengeti and get a chance to appreciate the view as the sun set fire to the savannah while predators such as leopards and lions hunt for their morning meal.
Alternatively, you might want to explore the untouched parts of Serengeti as you casually drift away from the surface of the earth in the early hours of the morning, safe in the basket of a hot air balloon. This is an additional activity if you like to add it then confirm with your safari expert. After breakfast you will proceed to explore the vast savannah of Serengeti in your open roof vehicle with your packed lunch. Take your hat and sunglasses out and enjoy what nature has in store for you.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Taking picnic lunches with you, your drive today will lead you to descend down the crater floor for a full exploration of what the crater has to offer by tracking game with your guide.
The crater is 610m deep and 260km² wide, making it the largest Caldera in the world. The crater contains all the big five animals (lions, elephants, rhinos, leopard and buffaloes), hippos, cheetah, antelopes and spotted hyena. Also, in the crater you can see different species of birds. Other game such as velvet monkey, jackal, foxes, rock and tree hyraxes, warthog, gnu, zebra and hare.

Day 6: Manyara National Park
After breakfast with a packed lunch, drive to Lake Manyara, and enjoy a game drive in Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park is situated spectacularly between the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, gnus, giraffes, baboons, lions and other animals make the place a crystal gem at the bottom of the Great Rift Valley. It is also the best site to observe birds and flamingos are the most common among over 400 species of birds here.
By lunchtime you will be offered lunch at the picnic site, after which the safari will continue, ending in a few hours, late afternoon returns to Arusha/ Kilimanjaro for departure.
