A Tanzania safari is a shared experience with nature, wildlife, and local communities. Following simple safari etiquette helps protect the environment and ensures a safe, enjoyable trip for everyone.
Always listen to your guide and follow park rules. Never stand up, make loud noises, or try to get too close to wildlife. Respect animals by keeping a safe distance and avoiding sudden movements or flash photography.
Keep the parks clean by not littering and staying on designated roads and tracks. Respect local cultures and ask permission before taking photos of people in villages or towns.

Stay Inside the Vehicle
- Always remain inside the vehicle during game drives unless your guide says otherwise
- Designated rest areas or picnic sites are the only safe zones to disembark.
- Stepping out in unauthorized areas is strictly prohibited and can be dangerous to you and harmful to wildlife.
No Off-Road Driving
- Off-roading damages delicate ecosystems and disturbs wildlife.
- Please do not ask your driver-guide to go off-road—it’s against park regulations.
Respect the Animals
- Keep noise to a minimum. Sudden sounds or movements can startle animals or provoke aggressive behavior.
- Never attempt to touch, feed, or call out to the animals.
- Use zooms lenses for photography—getting too close can be harmful to both you and the animal.
Be Considerate of Fellow Travelers
- Keep conversations low during wildlife sightings to allow everyone to enjoy the moment.
- Share viewing space fairly—everyone deserves a good view and photo opportunity.
Leave No Trace
- Take only photos, leave only footprints.
- Do not litter, and dispose of all waste in designated bins or bring it back to camp with you.
